The development of this Wunderlich ULTIMATE engine protection bar focused uncompromisingly on maximum protection during Adventure Riding.
Its compact component geometry not only reliably protects the engine but also indirectly shields the water pump, clutch, and alternator as well as their housing covers, without compromising ground clearance or lean angles. The two-part engine protection bar fits snugly, gaining additional stability and rigidity through its specific structure – all while optimising component weight. The bars for the right and left sides are each securely bolted to two selected, existing mounting points. In the event of a fall or crash, the forces are optimally distributed through the protective bar structure to the load-bearing mounting points, avoiding force and torque peaks and effectively reducing material stress. When combined with the ULTIMATE engine protection bar (#41586-002), it forms a proven all-round protection concept, increasing passive safety and enhancing the joy of riding.
The tube diameter of the engine protection bar structure is 25 millimetres. The tube segments are bent using CNC tube bending machines and then cleanly welded.
